A Prolonged Update & A Peek At Upcoming Projects

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated with a blog post. (Somewhat surprisingly) I've been able to stay on track with my scheduled timeline. Several more pieces of my old writings have been added to the site, now filling up large gaps that were once there.

If you were to look through the dates, you might also notice that there's nothing past July 2016. This is due in large part to becoming overwhelmed with work and school at the time. However the other reason stems from a story that I needed to tell - something that was longer than what I had typically written. This is when I began to write my first novella.

198 Days is a drama and a coming-of-age tale. It's also a personal piece for me. While not based off of true events or anything of the sort, a lot of my opinions and feelings from when I wrote it has been imbued with every page. As such, it's taken me a while to get to the point where I felt comfortable letting others peek beyond the title page and read the story's contents, but I'm finally there. Once it's been peer reviewed, I plan to finalize it and acquire a means of publishing, whether that be via a third party or me alone, for a tentative Fall 2018 release. 

In the meantime I've been working on a couple other projects. As I wait for feedback on my current draft, I've started to write another novella. While I'd rather not say much else since it'll be some time before that story makes its way to a finished first draft, I'm very excited to write it!

Last but not least, I've also been working on a site logo, as per my timeline. This has been much more difficult than I anticipated. I've been thinking of designs for at least two months now, and I've scribbled down countless variations that are of questionable quality.

I'm getting to the point where I feel like I need to narrow down my scope, or perhaps refocus on what I want the logo to represent. No matter the case, I'm at least chugging along and not disregarding this site of mine. 

As I continue to work on the site and populating it with old content, there are several ideas I've started to have on original pieces. I think I'm going to start working on those with the next couple months, and I'll hopefully have something ready by the end of July. In the meantime, maybe I'll try to post blog entries a little more frequently than 1 month+...
